Before and After: Rewriting Weak PM Bullets

The fastest way to raise your resume score is to rewrite your weakest bullets. Here is the pattern, shown with real examples. Notice each rewrite adds ownership, a result, and specificity.

Before → After

  • Before: "Worked on the mobile app."
After: "Owned the mobile app roadmap for 400k MAU, shipping 3 releases that lifted D30 retention 18%."
  • Before: "Gathered requirements from stakeholders."
After: "Aligned sales, support, and eng on a shared backlog, cutting mid-sprint scope changes by half."
  • Before: "Helped launch a new feature."
After: "Led the launch of saved payments, reaching 60% adoption in 6 weeks and reducing checkout drop-off 11%."
  • Before: "Improved the funnel."
After: "Ran 9 funnel experiments; the winning variant added $800k annualized revenue."

The moves you just saw

  • Swap "worked" or "helped" for a verb that shows ownership: led, owned, shipped, drove.
  • Attach a number to the result.
  • Add scope so the reader knows how big the win was.

Do this for your five weakest lines and re-run the analyzer.
