Resume Guide
PM Resume Keywords by Role & Seniority
Keywords are not about gaming the system; they are the shared language of the role. Missing them makes you look out of the field even when you are not. Match your vocabulary to the level you are targeting.
Core PM vocabulary (every level)
Roadmap, discovery, user research, A/B testing, metrics, prioritization, stakeholder management, requirements, go-to-market, experimentation.
Signals by seniority
- APM / PM — execution, shipping, backlog, user stories, analytics.
- Senior PM — strategy, trade-offs, cross-functional leadership, outcome ownership.
- Group PM / Lead — vision, portfolio, mentoring, org-level metrics, hiring.
Domain and tools
Add the ones that are true for you: SQL, Amplitude or Mixpanel, Figma, Jira, PLG, B2B or B2C, marketplace, fintech, AI/ML. These help both the ATS and human reviewers place you quickly.
The rule
Use a keyword only inside a bullet where you actually did it. Presence without evidence reads as padding — and good interviewers will test it.
